Brandon Palacios

Brandon Palacios is a first-generation Latino Harvard Class of 2021 undergraduate concentrating in Neuroscience with a secondary in Economics. At 20 years old, he already has a startup in the micro-mobility space, Swift, that is incubated at the I-labs in the Harvard Business School and has worked alongside experts in the medical world like respected neurosurgeon Dr. Jeffrey Schweitzer. His interest in BrainMind comes from his passion for impact investing and funding innovative Neuroscience companies who may have groundbreaking ideas, but not the proper funds or resources. After graduation, Brandon is looking to work at a management consulting company in order to gain more experience on the structure of businesses and directly impact companies' ability to work with their target markets. In the future, Brandon is looking to receive an MD/MBA degree from a competitive university in order to further his entrepreneurship and impact in both the business and medical worlds.
Accomplishments on the ASPT:
Collaborated with a team of 11 Stanford and Harvard students to build the first and largest Neuroscience database that included funding, investing, geographical, and other detailed information of over 1700 Neuroscience companies
Produced an investors page of all the 980 venture capitalists, public and private equity firms, accelerators, foundations, and more that invested in Neuroscience companies
Developed a Neuro report explaining the value and purpose of the Neuroscience database, with a detailed analysis of all the data we gather including top 20 investors, the volume of each investor, investor vs sector relationship, geography vs funding relationship, investor vs specialty relationship, growth per sector
Conducted research and business calls to filter through the best 5 event app developers and negotiate for the app to be used in the BrainMind October 2019 Stanford Summit
Managed a team of 10 students from Harvard, Stanford, USC, MIT, and Miami University to progress the impact of the company
