Setu Mehta is a student in the class of 2021 at Harvard College studying Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology, with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Setu is an entrepreneur focused on cultivating compassion through her work. Her most recent leadership experiences include serving as the Humans of Pandemics committee lead in the organization, StudentsvsPandemics, and starting a shadowing program called Harvard BIOME. She aspires to become a practicing clinician dedicated to impacting public policy. Hailing from New York, her experience working with disadvantaged populations and shadowing low-income community hospitals fuels her dedication to improving access to healthcare. In her free time, Setu loves to dance and has been a part of multiple dance groups on campus, and was the co-captain for the Harvard Bhangra dance team in the 2019-2020 academic year.

  • BrainMind: Coordinated Cambrdige Summit

  • Wrote a white paper on Neuroscience of Happiness

  • RegenMed Systems: Devised a marketing plan to expand sales of the MarrowMiner, by conducting market research on potential company partnership

  • Contact Tracer for Partners in Health Community Tracing Collaborative

  • Writing thesis, titled: Determining Critical Signaling Pathways during Gastrulation through a Computational Evolutionary Comparative Approach

  • Created a shadowing program called Harvard BIOME, Biomedical Interdisciplinary Occupations and Medical Exposure Program, that serves the Harvard undergraduate community

  • Work with Students Vs Pandemics as the lead of Humans of Pandemics subcommittee, whose mission is to highlight the diverse narratives and experiences of people during the COVID-19 pandemic

    • Research and compiled a policy memo to Massachusetts State Senator Eric Lesser detailing economic and social policies created by various US states

    • Manage and create content for Students vs Pandemics social media accounts
