Yug Yadava is a student in the class of 2024 at Rowan University majoring in Biology. Yug grew up in Jackson, New Jersey - the home of Six Flags Great Adventure. Since a young age, he has been involved in volunteering at his local library and hospital in any capacity and strived to learn more about his culture and family history. In his high school career, Yug began to explore the field of research and international relations. Here, Yug founded the Human Rights Club and had the privilege of interning at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Department of Neurology. At CHOP, he conducted research relating Vitamin D levels to Brain Volume in pediatric demyelinating diseases where Yug was able to enter and win several science competition awards. As of his college career, Yug now writes both medical and international relations-related articles, serves as a Co-Lead at the nonprofit SimplyNeuroscience, and as an Operations Manager at the Journal of Young Investigators. Yug looks forward to expanding his horizon and divulge more into research as he plans to try to combine medicine and public policy to bridge many hidden gaps. In his free time, Yug loves to exercise, go to the beach, meet new people, and spend quality time with his family.
