EYOL - Design for STEM Fellowship

Scientists and Entrepreneurs in STEM fields need to use special tools to communicate their ideas effectively. Academic training in STEM fields confers high-level technical expertise to undergraduates, but students often miss an important component of successful careers in the sciences: the ability to translate their ideas to wide audiences. Visual design, including web design, graphic design, animation, social media, and presentation design are all powerful tools for building and scaling new ventures. Endowed by E.Y.O.L., this Fellowship is designed to expand the undergraduate experience beyond the lab bench, allowing students to explore new ways to use their creativity in visual arts and learn new tools in visual science communication. This is a first-of-its-kind program seeking the highest-performing students with artistic capabilities and a passion for science communication and visual design.

ASPT students and alumni are welcome to apply to the Design for STEM Fellowship. Fellows will receive a competitive stipend while learning new visual communication skills and building their design portfolios. Selected applicants will receive an unmatched training experience in designing for STEM-related media development.

Eligibility

All US-based undergraduate students who have completed an ASPT internship are eligible to apply for the Fellowship. Prospective students should demonstrate a passion for entrepreneurship and interest in starting a venture of their own.
